Big Knob Volunteer Fire Department, Station 26, is Located 1229 Rt. 989 - New Sewickley Township, the eastern boundry of Beaver County, Pennsylvania. Big Knob V.F.D. has been serving New Sewickley and Marion Townships since 1943. Our name comes from the dome-shaped hill that is nearly 200 feet higher than the surrounding area, Big Knob. Big Knob for the highest point, 1,383 ft., in Beaver County. Another interesting fact about the knob. There is no higher point in the country between the knob and any point on the Mississippi River.
